Refocused: Flexible Indicator System Project

Salary: £31,300 - £39,920 per annum

Fixed Term Consultation up to Thirteenth May 2013

The Division of Processing is a major department of Pc Technology among UK Colleges. It has continually been granted the biggest research score (5*) in Research Evaluation Workouts (RAE), coming 2nd in the 2008 RAE, and was ranked as "Excellent" in the previous national assessment of coaching quality.

We are seeking to sponsor a Research Affiliate (post-doctoral) to work on sensor systems and sensor information research for the famous Technological innovation and Physical Sciences Research Authorities financed venture Refocused: Flexible Indicator System. The purpose of the venture is to research and assess elastic and flexible techniques for the maximum management of distant detecting systems such as sensor systems that heterogeneously mix set, mobile and "human sensors". In this venture the abilities of a reconfigurable sensor foundation will be modelled and analyzed on varying program centered information channels such as security or medical care centered information.

The candidate will be accountable for research into which of sensor systems and the design and development of methods for inference and optimization used to lead to a powerful reconfiguration of sensor systems.

To apply you will be necessary to have appropriate research encounter (PhD or Post-doctorial research) from either School or Business conditions. You will have encounter in the places of sensor information research, sensor systems, sensor programs or similar appropriate topics. Excellent analytic and/or simulator abilities are essential. You will be practical, able to support other scientists and self-motivated. Experience of research, information exploration and device studying technology is also expected. Coding abilities to model and to some extent apply principles are necessary. Advanced expertise in at least one of the following places is required: • Design acknowledgement and device studying • Sensor-based programs • Indicator Networks. Candidates should have an excellent honors level (or equivalent) in marketing and sales communications or electronic engineering, computer science or another appropriate self-discipline and must have a PhD level (or equivalent) in an place appropriate to the place of interest, i.e., Processing or Technological innovation.

Preference will be given to those with a proven research and book reputation with a PhD, applicants with significant practical industrial encounter may also be considered.
